This specimen was lot 2285 in Steve Album Auction 54 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2026), where it sold for $540. The catalog description[1] noted, "SIKH EMPIRE: AR rupee, Multan, VS1877, gorgeous bold strike, XF-AU." This type was struck VS 1875-1880 at Multan. The Sikhs were crushed in AD 1849 (VS 1906) and their coinage ended.
Recorded mintage: unknown but quite scarce.
