This specimen was lot 31829 in Heritage sale 3073 (Chicago, April 2019), where it sold for $660. The catalog description[1] noted, "Republic gold Proof 'Princess Diana & Mother Teresa' 250 Dollars 1997 PR68 Ultra Cameo NGC. Brilliant cameo with deeply mirrored fields and frosty devices. A gem example that is visually flawless." Sierra Leone honored the deceased princess with sixteen different commemoratives in 1997 and four more in 1998. The ones featuring Mother Teresa include KM 77 ($1), KM 78 ($10), KM 79 ($20), KM 80 ($50) and KM 81 ($100).
