This specimen was lot 1159 in Stephen Album internet sale 28 (Santa Rosa, CA, July 2024), where it sold for $84. The catalog description[1] noted, "SERBIA: Alexander I, 1889-1903, AR 2 denara, 1897, a pleasing example, PCGS graded MS61, ex Joe Sedillot Collection." This two franc-sized coin was struck at Paris during the brief existence of the kingdom of Serbia (1878-1918). It is common thru extremely fine. Serbia was conquered and occupied by the Austrians during World War One but reemerged after the war as the kingdom of Yugoslavia.
