This specimen was lot 25057 in Heritage sale 3030 (New York, January 2014), where it sold for $1,305.43. The catalog description[1] noted, "Milan I as Prince 50 Para 1879, Gem Brilliant Uncirculated. A bright white and fully lustrous little jewel; the strike is superb and the surfaces devoid of all but a few miniscule marks." This type was struck 1879 only but is common in circulated condition.
Recorded mintage: 600,000.
Specification: 2.5 g, 0.900 fine silver, this specimen 2.54 g.
