This specimen was lot 21358 in Stack's Bowers 2018 NYINC sale (New York, January 2018), where it sold for $720. The catalog description[1] noted, "SCOTLAND. Ryal, 1566. Mary (1542-67). PCGS VF-30 Secure Holder. Fourth Period: 1565-67 with Henry Darnley. A pleasing dove grey hue with nice remaining detail." Davenport lists this type for 1565-67 and the specimen shown in his catalog displays the countermark of 1571.
