This specimen was lot 8193 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2022), where it sold for $264. The catalog description[1] noted, "SCOTLAND. Penny, ND (1249-85). Alexander III. NGC EF-40. A well struck Penny, with no points of weakness on either side, and a nicely detailed obverse portrait. The surfaces are toned a medium gray, with some darker shades in the protected areas to provide contrast."
