This specimen was lot 2997 in Steve Album Auction 51 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2025), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "SCHLESWIG-HOLSTEIN: Provisional Government, AE sechsling, 1851, initials TA, better date of the two-year type, XF." This type was struck 1850-51. Numista states one thaler made 42 sechsling. Schleswig was Danish-speaking while Holstein was German; the conflicts arising therefrom led to the whole region being conquered and annexed by Prussia in the 1860's.
