This specimen was lot 11552 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for €408 (about US$425). The catalog description[1] noted, "DENMARK. 2 Skilling (Doppelschilling), 1534. Schleswig-Holstein. Christian III. NGC EF-45. From the L. E. Bruun Collection. Ex. Countship of Brahesminde Collection (Private Sale-1922)." This type was struck for the duchy of Schleswig-Holstein 1534-37 before its partition into royal and ducal sections. Some issues have two digit dates and others have four digit dates. The doppel-schilling was 1/18 of a thaler.
