This specimen was lot 5271 in Sincona sale 9 (Zürich, October 2012), where it sold for 8500 CHF (about US$10,751 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"DEUTSCHLAND Schleswig-Holstein, Gottorp, Herzogtum Christian Albrecht, 1659-1694. Dukat 1689, Tönning. Münzmeister Hans Heinrich Lüders. Geharnischte Büste rechts mit umgelegtem Mantel. Rv. Der Herzog besteigt einen mit Dornen bewachsenen Berg, der bis in die Wolken aufragt und über dem eine Krone schwebt, unten in einer verzierter Kartusche die Signatur über der Jahreszahl 1689. Von grosser Seltenheit. Prachtexemplar. FDC. (Germany, Schleswig-Holstein-Gottorp, duke Christian Albrecht, 1659-98, ducat of 1689, issued by mintmaster Hans Henry Luders. Obverse: armored bust to right with toga; reverse: the duke climbs a mountain with crown at top, cartouche with date below. Of the highest rarity, proof example, mint state.)"
