Künker Auction 439, lot 2633

This specimen was lot 2633 in Künker sale 439 (Osnabrück, March 2026), where it sold for €850 (about US$1,169 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"REICHSSILBERMÜNZEN, SACHSEN Albert, 1873-1902. 2 Mark 1893. Prachtvolle Patina, Stempelglanz. Aus der Sammlung Jürgen und Erika Schmidt, Bovenden. Exemplar der Auktion Heidelberger Münzhandlung, Herbert Grün 43, Teil II, Heidelberg 2005, Nr. 4484. (kingdom of Saxony, Albert, 1873-1902, two mark of 1893. Outstanding patina, uncirculated.)"

This type was struck 1891-1902 for king Albert. It is common in worn condition but is scarce choice.

Recorded mintage: 130,375, a somewhat better date.

Specification: 11.11 g, 0.900 fine silver, 28 mm diameter, reeded edge.
