Sincona sale 77, lot 2195

This specimen was lot 2195 in Sincona sale 77 (Zürich, May 2022), where it sold for 120 CHF (about US$146 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"GERMANY | Sachsen, Herzogtum, ab 1547 Kurfürstentum, ab 1806 Königreich | Albertiner. Friedrich August II. 1836-1854. 1/6 Taler 1841 G, Dresden. FDC. (Germany, kingdom of Saxony, Frederick Augustus II, 1836-54, one-sixth thaler of 1841, Dresden mint. Uncirculated.)"

This type was struck 1841-50 and is common.

Recorded mintage: 450,000.
