This specimen was lot 31159 in Heritage sale 3105 (New York, January 2023), where it sold for $456. The catalog description[1] noted, "German States: Saxony. Friedrich August III Taler 1775-EDC MS61 NGC, Dresden mint. Conservatively graded with a decent portrait and attractive contrasting russet, peach and argent toning. A prime candidate for the price-conscious bidder. From the Cape Coral Collection, Part II." This thaler of 1769-79 was accompanied by a mining thaler (KM 993.1) for 1775. It is fairly common.
