This specimen was lot 2816 in Sincona sale 26 (Zürich, October 2015), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,
"Sachsen, Kurfürstentum, Friedrich August II. 1733-1763 Dukat 1748. Dresden Sehr seltener Jahrgang. Sehr schön. (Germany, electorate of Saxony, Frederick Augustus II, 1733-63, ducat of 1748, Dresden mint. Very rare date, very fine.)"
This type was struck steadily 1735-63 yet is today rarer than most of the commemorative ducats struck in the same period.
