This specimen was lot 27422 in Heritage sale 3022 (New York, January 2013), where it sold for $282. The catalog description[1] noted, "Saxony. August Taler 1583-HB, AU, one planchet crack at 2:00 noted. An exemplary specimen with very well defined details for a 16th century Taler." This Davenport type was struck 1567-86 and is common.
