This specimen was lot 2206 in Sincona sale 23 (Zürich, May 2015), where it sold for 500 CHF (about US$628 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Sachsen, Herzogtum, ab 1547 Kurfürstentum, August, 1553-1586 Taler 1567. Dresden Auf die Einnahme von Gotha. Gutes sehr schön. (Germany, electorate of Saxony, Augustus I (1553-86), thaler of 1567, Dresden mint, on the siege of Gotha. Good very fine.)"
This type is accompanied by a klippe thaler and a double thaler, both rare.
