This specimen was lot 2126 in Künker sale 352 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €14,000 (about US$19,484 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SACHSEN-WEIMAR, HERZOGTUM, Johann Ernst und seine fünf Brüder, 1622-1626. Goldgulden 1623, Weimar. Verziertes, vierfeldiges Wappen mit Mittelschild, zu den Seiten Mmz. G - A (Georg Andrae, genannt Gabriel Andresse, Münzmeister in Weimar 1620-1624)//Gekröntes sächsisches Wappen zwischen Zweigen. GOLD. Von großer Seltenheit. Prachtexemplar. Vorzüglich-Stempelglanz. Erworben 1953 bei der Firma Grabow, Berlin. (Germany, duchy of Saxe-Weimar, John Ernest and his five brothers, 1622-26, goldgulden of 1623, Weimar mint. Obverse: quartered arms with escutcheon dividing the mintmaster's initials; reverse: crowned Saxon arms between two branches. Extremely rare, choice example, extremely fine to uncirculated. Bought from Grabow in 1953.)"
