This specimen was lot 3726 in Stacks-Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2015), where it sold for $446.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Saxe-Old-Weimer. Taler, 1594. NGC AU-50. Nice, even strike and attractive toning." This is the final date of a type first issued in 1587.
