This specimen was lot 70202 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, June 2022), where it sold for $2,400. The catalog description[1] noted, "SAUDI ARABIA. 25 Halalah (1/4 Riyal), AH 1408 (1988). Kings Norton Mint. Fahd bin Abdulaziz. PCGS SPECIMEN-67. This attractive Superb Gem Proof from the King's Norton Mint Collection displays dazzling strike quality and stunningly reflective surfaces. A wholesome example from late in the existence of the King's Norton Mint. Ex: Kings Norton Mint Collection." This type was struck AH 1408 and AH 1423. Both dates are common.
