This specimen was lot 4100 in Goldberg sale 74 (Los Angeles, June 2013), where it sold for $517.50 including buyer's fees. The catalog description[1] noted, "Italian States - Sardinia. 20 Lire, 1836-P (Genova). Mint mark, Anchor. Carlo Alberto. Head left. NGC graded AU-55." This type was struck 1832-45 at Turin and Genoa (shown here). Tho not rare, it is much less common than the issues of Victor Emanuel II (1850-60). The Genoa issues are scarcer than the Turin issues.
