This specimen was lot 2025 in Jean Elsen sale 163 (Brussels, November 2025), where it sold for €130 (about US$150 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"ITALIE, SAVOIE et SARDAIGNE, Charles Albert (1831-1849), AR 1 lira, 1831 P, Gênes. Très rare. (Italy, kingdom of Sardinia, Charles Albert, 1831-49, silver lira of 1831, Genoa mint. Very rare, Fine.)"

This type was struck at Genoa 1831-32, 1835 and 1838 and all the dates are scarce to rare. While the five lire and gold twenty lire appear frequently, the minors are very rare.

Recorded mintage: 18,741.

Specification: 5 g, 0.900 fine silver, 23 mm diameter, lettered edge.
