This specimen was lot 135 in Sedwick sale 9 (Winter Park, FL, April 2011), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "Sardinia, Italy, 1/2 doppia, Vittorio Amedeo III, 1789. Problem-free AXF." In other parts of Italy, a doppia was a double ducat but in Sardinia a doppia was a double scudo, hence the different weight standard.

Specification: 4.75 g, .905 fine gold, .138 troy oz AGW, this specimen 4.4 grams.
