This specimen was lot 72753 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, October 2019), where it sold for $1,080. The catalog description[1] noted, "SARAWAK. Copper-Nickel 5 Cents, 1920-H. Heaton Mint. NGC MS-63. An exceptional offering of the type, this denomination comes in both silver and copper-nickel varieties, this being the latter. An appealing piece, offering rose-gold toning throughout, and with just three others graded finer in the NGC census." This type was struck in copper-nickel in 1920 and 1927. A billon (.400 fine silver) five cents was also struck in 1920 and is much scarcer.

Recorded mintage: 400,000 plus 100,000 of KM 13.
