This specimen was lot 23514 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2023), where it sold for $1,560. The catalog description[1] noted, "SAHARAWI. 40000 Pesetas, 1997. PCGS PROOF-68 Deep Cameo. Commemorating the 20th Anniversary of diplomatic relationship between Venezuela and Saharawi. This beautiful and uncommon modern proof delivers a near-flawless strike and handsome cameo nature. A charming type that is certain to appeal to the "one from all countries" crowd."
