Stack's Bowers 2024 NYINC sale, lot 58339

This specimen was lot 58339 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2024), where it sold for $600. The catalog description[1] noted, "RUSSIA. Gold 50 Rubles, 2007-CMA. St. Petersburg Mint. PCGS MS-67. Saint George." This denomination was also used for Y1090 (Andrew Rublyov), Y1094 (450th Anniversary of the annexation of Bashkiriya) and Y1097 (300th Anniversary of the annexation of Khakassia). Unlike most NCLT's this was struck multiple years, including 2006-10 and 2012. The SCWC prices it at its bullion value.

Recorded mintage: 500,000.

Specification: 7.78 g, 0.999 fine gold, 22.6 mm diameter, 0.250 troy oz AGW.
