This specimen was lot 74509 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2023), where it sold for $1,200. The catalog description^[1] noted, "RUSSIA. 100 Rubles, 1989-MMA. Moscow Mint. NGC PROOF-69 Ultra Cameo. Commemorating the 500th anniversary of the United Russian State: State seal of Ivan III. An interesting design featuring a large degree of central frostiness, this example also radiates with a delightful cameo nature upon both sides."
