This specimen was lot 25537 in Heritage sale 3026 (Long Beach, October 2013), where it sold for $10,584.40. The catalog description[1] noted, "Peter II Poltina (1/2 Rouble) 1728, Bust right / Crowned double-headed Imperial eagle with date, AU50 PCGS. Lead-gray patina with a nice strike and minor reverse flan flaws. A very rare type in well above average condition. This is the only example of this issue certified by PCGS." This poltina, or half ruble, was struck 1727-29 and is scarce but not rare like previous issues.
