This specimen was lot 42530 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Oklahoma City, OK, August 2025), where it sold for $1,320. The catalog description[1] noted, "RUSSIA. Poltina (1/2 Ruble), 1721 (in Old Cyrillic). Moscow (Kadashevsky) Mint. Peter I "the Great". NGC EF-45. Evenly worn across the higher points, this highly original specimen offers some alluring deep gray toning and delightful problem-free surfaces." This poltina, or half ruble, was struck 1718-22 and is scarce but not rare like previous issues.
