Sincona sale 19, lot 4

This specimen was lot 4 in Sincona sale 19 (Zürich, October 2014), where it sold for CHF 16,000 (about US$20,051 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "Poltina 1702, Kadashevsky Mint. Very rare. 25+ roubles according to Petrov. 20 roubles according to Trapeznikov. Minor planchet defect, otherwise attractive very fine to extremely fine." This half ruble of 1701-05 is rare, like most of the silver minors of Peter I. This date is mentioned but not priced in the SCWC.
