Stack's Bowers 2024 NYINC sale, lot 58200
SB124-58200 rev.jpg

This specimen was lot 58200 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2024), where it sold for $100. The catalog description[1] noted, "RUSSIA. Denga (1/2 Kopek), ND (1696-1718). Peter I (the Great). NGC MS-63." The auctioneers catalogued this as KM 111, which is a round copper coin listed for 1701-04. The SCWC does not list any denga struck in silver. It is likely a form of wire money. In addition, it has a date visible at the bottom of the obverse, "≠АψА", which equals 1701.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: silver, this specimen 0.27 g.

Catalog reference: KM-unlisted.
