This specimen was lot 34663 in Heritage sale 3082 (New York, January 2020), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "Romania: Carol II Proof 10 Lei 1930-(a) PR67 NGC, Paris mint." This type was minted in large quantities at London, Paris, Heaton and King's Norton. Romania fell into the Nazi orbit during World War Two and the monarchy was abolished shortly thereafter.

Recorded mintage: 10,000,000 at London + 30,000,000 at Paris + 7,500,000 at Heaton + 7,500,000 at King's Norton.

Specification: 5 g, nickel-brass, 23 mm diameter.
