Awadh in 1792, with Rohilkhand to the northwest

This specimen was lot 1335 in Sincona sale 90 (Zürich, May 2024), where it sold for 2,200 CHF (about US$2,907 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"INDIEN Independent Kingdoms, Rohilkhand, Zabita Khan, 1183-1188 AH (1770-1774). Mohur Year 13 (1185 AH), Najibabad. In the name of Shah 'Alam II (1759-1806). NGC MS65. Prachtexemplar. Das durch NGC höchstbewertete Exemplar. (Cabinet piece, Finest certified by NGC.)"

Wikipedia comments, "Najibabad is a town in the Bijnor district of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, located near the city of Bijnor." This mohur was struck in years 2-5, 13 and 16.
