This specimen was lot 70219 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, May 2020), where it sold for $528. The catalog description[1] noted, "LIVONIA. Poltorak, 1620. Sigismund III of Poland. NGC MS-66. Incredibly stunning quality for such an early coin, this lustrous example presents exquisite toning and an unbelievably high degree of brilliance." This type was minted in 1620 with several mintmarks, including the fox shown here. In 1621, the town was seized by the Swedish and held by them until captured by Russia in 1720.
