Sincona sale 81, lot 6112

This specimen was lot 6112 in Sincona sale 81 (Zürich, October 2022), where it sold for 1,600 CHF (about US$1,918 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SWITZERLAND | Grisons | Reichenau, Herrschaft, Thomas Franz von Schauenstein, 1723-1740. Kreuzer 1740, Reichenau, ev. Langenargen. Brustbild des Grafen mit Perücke nach rechts, bei der Schulter Mzz. H (für Johann Haag). TH . FR . C . D . SCHAU . Rv. Nimbierter Doppeladler mit Krone zwischen 1 K, das Grafenwappen auf der Brust. Die Krallen halten das Schwert und das Zepter, unten die geteilte Jahreszahl 17 40. Sehr selten. Fast sehr schön. (lordship of Reichenau, Thomas Franz of Schauenstein, 1723-40, Reichenau mint. Obverse: peruked bust of the count right; reverse: crowned nimbate double headed eagle divides the value, the arms of the count on its breast, sword and scepter in its claws, date below. Very rare, About very fine.)"
