This specimen was lot 3320 in Künker sale 405 (Osnabrück, March 2024), where it sold for €30,000 (about US$39,363 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"DIE REICHSSTADT REGENSBURG. EINE GOLDMARK AUS DER ZEIT DER WEIMARER REPUBLIK. Carl Theodor von Dalberg, 1804-1810. Dukat 1809. Münzmeister Georg Christoph Busch. * CAROL • PR • PRIMAS CONFOED • RHEN • Brustbild r.//DUCATUS RATISBON . Mainzer Wappen auf gekröntem Wappenmantel, dahinter Schwert und Krummstab, unten die Jahreszahl 1809. GOLD. Von großer Seltenheit. Sehr attraktives Exemplar, vorzüglich. (city of Regensburg, Charles Theodore of Dalberg, 1804-10, ducat of 1809. Obverse: bust right; reverse: crowned and mantled arms of Mainz over a sword and crozier, date below. Extremely rare, very attractive example, extremely fine.)"
This may be the very last issue from this locale, which was annexed to Bavaria in 1810 as part of Napoleon's reorganization of Germany.
