This specimen was lot 2381 in Sincona sale 33 (Zürich, October 2016), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,
"Regensburg, City. Konventionstaler 1801/1802. Titel Franz II. Vorzüglich-FDC. Kl. Schrötlingsfehler am Rand, schöne Patina. (Germany, city of Regensburg, convention thaler of 1801-02, in the name of Francis II. Extremely fine-uncirculated, Minor planchet fault at the edge, nice patina.)"
This is the last thaler issued by the city prior to its annexation by Bavaria. It is rare.
