Regensburg (1612-19) 30 kreuzer
This specimen was lot 3082 in Künker sale 405 (Osnabrück, March 2024), where it sold for €4,000 (about US$5,249 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"DIE REICHSSTADT REGENSBURG. DIE ZEIT DES KAISERS MATTHIAS, 1612-1619. Kurantmünzen aus der Zeit des Kaisers Matthias. ½ Guldentaler (30 Kreuzer) o. J., mit Titel von Matthias. Münzmeister Haubold Lehner. Von größter Seltenheit. Hübsche Patina, vorzüglich. (city of Regensburg, undated half gulden or thirty kreuzer, struck in the name of emperor Matthias. Extremely rare, handsome patina, extremely fine.)"
This half gulden comes dated 1613 and undated. This example realized nearly triple the already substantial catalog value.
