Quedlinburg in 1648, between Goslar and Halberstadt

This specimen was lot 508 in Künker sale 263 (Osnabrück, June 2015), where it sold for €1,300 (about US$1,680 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"Quedlinburg, ABTEI Dorothea Sophia von Sachsen-Altenburg, 1618-1645. Reichstaler 1623, Quedlinburg, mit Titel Ferdinands II. R Sehr schön. (abbey of Quedlinburg, Dorothy Sophia of Saxe-Altenburg, 1618-45, thaler of 1623, Quedlinburg mint, in the name of Ferdinand II. Scarce, very fine.)"
