This specimen was lot 1324 in Stephen Album internet sale 28 (Santa Rosa, CA, July 2024), where it sold for $36. The catalog description^[1] noted, "PORTUGUESE GUINEA: AE escudo, 1946, a wonderful example, PCGS graded MS64 RD." All of the issues for Portuguese Guinea were one year types and most are scarce. The region, independent since 1975 as Guinea-Bissau, is united with Cape Verde, another former Portuguese colony.

Recorded mintage: 2,000,000.
