Portugal 1982 2-5 escudos rev 600.jpg

The specimen shown is from a type struck in Portugal 1963-85. The denomination was terminated in 1985, inflation having rendered it worthless. A few of the early dates are scarce but the remainder, including this one, are common.

Recorded mintage: 45,910,000.

Specification: 3.5 g, copper-nickel, 20 mm diameter, designed by Martins Barata and M. Norte.

Catalog reference: KM 590, Gomes-31.25.
