This specimen was lot 3613 in Sincona sale 26 (Zürich, October 2015), where it sold for 1,100 CHF (about US$1,359 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"João VI. 1799-1826 Peca 1805. Fast vorzüglich. Prägeschwäche Rv. (kingdom of Portugal, John VI, 1799-1826, peça of 1805. Choice extremely fine, reverse cleaned.)"
This type was struck 1804-16 but is seldom seen compared to similar coins that were struck in Brazil.
