This specimen was lot 22473 in Heritage sale 3021 (New York, January 2013), where it sold for $4,406.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "João VI Prince Regent gold Peca (6400 Reis) 1802, UNC details, cleaned long ago, well-struck bust details. Rare one-year type with a less ornate reverse coat of arms, known as the 'Jarra' design." The later type of 1804-16 (KM 336), tho not common, is much more available.
Recorded mintage: 30,115.
Specification: 14.34 g, 0.917 fine gold, .423 troy oz AGW.
