This type was struck in Lisbon 1712-14 and 1720-21 for João V and is less often seen than its low catalog value might indicate. It was the smallest denomination regularly issued tho this design appears on a 1½ réis (KM 193), 5 réis (KM 194) and ten réis (KM 191) of the reign.
