This specimen was lot 23496 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2020), where it sold for $720. The catalog description[1] noted, "PORTUGAL. Vintem, ND (1481-95). Porto Mint. Joao II. NGC AU-58. Incredible quality for the type, this Near Mint State example is tied with just one other piece for the finest in the NGC census. Assured not to disappoint, it is only lightly handled and offers a good deal of remaining luster."
