Pomerania 1758-OHK 4 gute groschen
This specimen was lot 11399 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for €85 (about US$89). The catalog description[1] noted, "SWEDEN. 1/6 Taler (4 Groschen), 1758 - OHK. Pommern-Stralsund. Adolf Fredrik. NGC F-12. From the L. E. Bruun Collection." The city issues of Stralsund feature the city badge of the broad arrow (see KM 190). This one does not mention the city but features the king's monogram, so we follow the SCWC and file it under Pomerania. It was struck 1758-59 along with an eight gute groschen. One thaler was 24 gute groschen. Sweden ceded her last holdings in Pomerania to Prussia at the Congress of Vienna in 1815.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specifications: silver, 27 mm diameter, this specimen 5.82 g.
