Sincona sale 97, lot 2202

This specimen was lot 2202 in SINCONA Auction 97 (Zürich, May 2025), where it sold for 7,500 CHF (about US$10,879 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"RUSSLAND Kaiserreich und Föderation, 10 Zlotych Polskich 1827, Warsaw Mint, FH. Mintage for Poland. Sehr schön. Bearbeitete Oberfläche und leichte Broschierspuren. (empire of Russia, ten Polish złotych of 1827, Warsaw mint. Very rare. 8 roubles according to Petrov. 30 roubles according to Ilyin. Very Fine, Altered surface and some traces of jewelry.)"

Ten złotych equaled one and a half rubles. Russian coinage for Poland ended in 1841. This is likely only a pattern.
