This specimen was lot 2851 in Sincona sale 87 (Zürich, October 2023), where it sold for 9,500 CHF (about US$12,793 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"POLEN, Johann Kasimir, 1649-1668. 2 Dukaten 1659, Krakau. Sehr selten. Sehr schön. Fassungs- und Tragespuren. (kingdom of Poland, John Casimir, 1649-88, double ducat of 1659, Cracow mint. Very rare, Very fine, Traces of jewelry and wear.)"
This rare type was struck in several varieties in 1659. Friedberg lumps all the double ducats of Jan Kasimir under Fr-89, regardless of mint.
