This specimen was lot 2678 in Steve Album Auction 52 (Santa Rosa, CA, May 2025), where it sold for $48. The catalog description[1] noted, "PIACENZA: Ferdinando I di Borbone, 1765-1802, BI 10 soldi, 1792, shield of manifold arms, with central shield of oval Bourbon arms, large crown above, date at end of legend // Saint Antoninus on horseback to left, holding pennant, value in exergue, Fine." Piacenza is a duchy on the river Po that was united with the duchy of Parma in 1556 and ruled by the Farnese until that family's extinction in 1731. It was traded several times before becoming a fief of the Bourbon-Parma family 1748-1802. This type was struck 1785-92 along with another with initials "DG" (KM 47). Ten soldi made half a lira.
