Philippines 1961 peso

This peso was struck at the United States mint in 1961 for the Philippines. This type commemorated the centennial of the birth of José Rizal, hero of the struggle for independence from Spain and is accompanied by a silver half peso (KM 191). It was hoarded and is common today.

Specification: 26 g, 0.900 fine silver.
