This specimen was lot 72872 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Santa Ana, CA, May 2017), where it sold for $85. The catalog description[1] noted, "PERU. 1/5 Libra, 1920. NGC MS-63." The gold libra superseded the silver sol as Peru's main unit of currency in 1898. The libra weighed the same as a British sovereign and equalled ten soles. The type was struck 1906-69, along with 1/2 libras and one libras.
