This specimen was lot 1380 in Sedwick Auction 36 (Winter Park, FL, November 2024), where it sold for $780. The catalog description[1] noted, "PERU, Lima, ½ real, 1849 MB, NGC MS 65, ex-Whittier, ex-O'Brien. Strong luster with delicate light rainbow toning, trace of die-clash on date side, second finest in NGC census behind a single MS 66. Pedigreed to the Whittier Collection (stated on label, Heritage auction of June 2006) and to the John O'Brien Collection, with his tag." This type was struck at Lima 1840-58 and varied from the prior type (KM 144.1) in having the fineness added to the shield side. This is listed as a somewhat better date.
